CySEC issued Circular C748 on 31/12/2025 to remind Regulated Entities of the entry into force of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620 establishing the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA), which became effective in June 2024 and applies from July 2025. Under the AMLA Regulation, AMLA in cooperation with National Competent Authorities will conduct periodic risk assessments of selected credit and financial institutions operating across at least six EU Member States.
To support this supervisory process, CySEC has introduced a new mandatory reporting Form. All Regulated Entities authorised by 31 December 2024, including those that have not yet commenced activities, are required to complete and submit the Form.
The completed Form must be emailed to risk.statistics@cysec.gov.cy no later than 9 January 2026. CySEC stresses that this deadline is strict and that no reminders will be issued for late or non-submissions.
Additional guidance includes file naming requirements, reporting in Euro (rounded to the nearest unit), and completion instructions available within the Form itself.
Regulated Entities may submit clarification questions to CySEC between 30 December 2025 and 8 January 2026.
CySEC encourages firms to ensure timely and accurate submission to support AMLA’s supervisory framework.
